Can anyone tell me the best way to calibrate and test the sound sensor on
the HERO 1? Also, where is the microphone (sensor) actually located?

This is what I got from the manual...

Observe the LED's on the sense board as you perform the test. Shine light
directly into the sensor, and then shade the sensor. Adjust it using the
pot on the sensor board tagged light. You can also change op 41 to 42 to
test the Sound Detection.
