There were several kits available to enhance Hero's capabilities.  We will list the ones that were commercially available, And ones submitted by other Hero owners.  If you have a MOD you would like to share please drop us an email at HERO-1

Tired of struggling with your panels, here is a little mod to help!


Robotronix

ANDROTEXT  is a language to make communicating with robots easy for everyone. It is a high-level language, which means two things: (1) it is human oriented and can be understood with little technical knowledge; and (2) the same program will work on many different types of robots with minimal modification

Dynacorp

Made a motherboard that provides the robot with 5 slots for 
interfacing circuits. Besides being able to use for your own circuit 
designs, the following circuits were available for use with the 
motherboard
-32 k memory expansion - holds 6116, 6264, 2716, or 2732 memory chips.
-Serial I/O - has handshaking, EPROM software, '
-Perfboard Wire Wrap Set (2 included)
 


Dayco

-Parallel I/O Kit - Has 16 memory-mapped inputs or outputs for 
Hero. It contains programmable I/O for 8 or 16 lines. Full interrupt 
handling and contains 4 interrupt lines. Fully documented.
 


Magicland - Tom Fox

-SUPERFOX2 - a versatile A/D board. Included easy-to-use 
firmware and comes equipped with 2 temperature sensors that enables the 
bot to measure temperatures from -40 F to +215 F. Celsius and Kelvin 
scales are also supported by firmware. Superfox2 has 8 A/D channels (2 
additional of which are used by temperature sensing circuits). There 
are 8 additional LOGIC (yes/no) TTL inputs included. It comes with 2k 
ROM 2K RAM and a socket for an additional "user" 4K ROM. Wires to Hero 
in 5 minutes and is mounted inside the door out of the way. Most IC's 
used are low power consuming CMOS. Compatible with most memory 
expansion boards on the market.

-ROBI is a HERO/APPLE Handshake package. Easy hookup, 8 screws 
on Hero. 1 card slot on Apple II or IIe computer. User friendly 
software for data transfers, stores and retrieves files to and from an 
Apple disk.
 


Virtual Devices
Marketed a complete program development system and communication hardware, both RS232 hardwired and radio-link for Hero.
